VFW Chapter 1 Riders

The purpose of the VFW Riders Group is to support the VFW at its Auxiliary by promoting the public visibility of the VFW, its programs, and the national home through community service and participation in veterans service events, through responsible motorcycling in our community. 

The VFW Rider’s group is comprised of Post and Auxiliary members that are in good standing, and non-Post/ Auxiliary members as support personnel. We are a family-oriented group of people that enjoy the best time of motorcycling.

Although we all have different life’s experiences and come from different backgrounds, we all come together for a common goal. That goal is to support our active duty and reserve military members, fellow veterans, and their families. We act in good faith to uphold the traditions and high standards of the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization.

A satirical reflection by Author/Artist Phil Fehrenbacher

Phil enlisted in the Army in 1965 where he served for years in Vietnam.  He became a graphic designer and has worked for the state of Oregon for 26 years.  He retired in 2003 and started the Cartoon "In-Country".  The cartoons reflect his experiences during his tour of duty in South Vietnam.


There is a new cartoon everyday.
